The Whale and Dolphin Adoption Project is a non-profit Charitable Trust. The project works with like-minded organisations to ensure maximum benefit for our marine environment, and public participation is sought by offering an opportunity to adopt a marine mammal.

The Dolphin Institute    (New Window)
For over 20 years, they have been dedicated to dolphin research in cognition and sensory systems (Tursiops truncatus, an odontocete), as well as humpback whale research. Located in Honolulu, Hawaii. There are also links to various scientific papers abbout the whale.

Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center    (New Window)
Founded in 1987 in response to requests from the media and other organizations for more information concerning marine mammal behavior. Their endeavor is to monitor the type of species that come to this area and to learn more about their feeding, migration and breeding habits. The CMWW&RC originated the phenomenon of "Whale & Dolphin Watching" on the New Jersey Coast and is the only research facility in the state allowing public participation on vessels at sea.

US Citizens Against Whaling    (New Window)
Saving our oceans one whale at a time. U.S. Citizens Against Whaling is a grassroots organization that took shape in November 1999. All the founding members had the same goal and vision in mind, to stop whaling. This site includes activist reports, whale quotes, gray whale information and information on getting involved.
